Mid-Atlantic Affordable Housing Management Association
A key benefit to being a member of the Mid-Atlantic AHMA is the access to information and advocacy from our partner in Washington, D.C., the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). Members (regular) of the Mid-Atlantic AHMA are automatically "subscription" members of NAHMA. NAHMA is the leading voice for affordable housing, advocating on behalf of multifamily property managers and owners whose mission is to provide quality affordable housing. As an advocate for professional standards for affordable housing providers, NAHMA holds a unique position in the industry. By working with NAHMA, we have greater clout on Capitol Hill and with local regulatory agencies which enhances the influence Mid-Atlantic AHMA has on regulations that affect all of us.
Our partnership with NAHMA also provides our members access to the following services and benefits:
Created in partnership with ApartmentSmart.com, NAHMA Maps provides members with visual and statistical information to their Congressional representatives. It assists members in reaching out to Congress to highlight the importance of the work NAHMA and AHMA members have done to improve the quality of life for low-income residents and demonstrate how well the affordable housing programs are working.
A website dedicated to providing members with current, easy-to-use tools for participating in grassroots advocacy.
An insurance program created specifically for NAHMA and AHMA members that is designed to address the unique needs and exposures of organizations serving the affordable housing industry. NAHMA's insurance partner, USI, offers decades of experience developing cost-effective risk management strategies for affordable multifamily properties.
As a member of Mid-Atlantic AHMA you are automatically a subscribed member of the National Affordable Housing Management Association. You will have access to NAHMA’s members-only web pages, which includes key archives as well as the latest news from key federal agencies and other important resources. MA-AHMA members, in good-standing, who do not have log-in credentials for the NAHMA members-only gateway, please contact us.
