Resident Communication & Education
Event Description
Resident Communication & Education in Affordable Multifamily Housing.
Clear and proactive communication with residents is essential for maintaining property standards and ensuring compliance in affordable housing. This 1.5-hour live webinar covers practical methods for educating residents about their responsibilities, including reporting maintenance issues like mold, leaks, pest infestations, and HVAC problems in a timely manner. Attendees will learn how to incorporate these responsibilities into leases, community rules, and resident handbooks, and how to reinforce them through move-in orientations, newsletters, and digital communication tools. The course also examines strategies for overcoming language barriers, promoting accountability, and documenting communications for compliance purposes. By enhancing how information is shared and received, management can reduce costly maintenance problems, prevent health hazards, and foster stronger resident relationships based on mutual understanding and cooperation.
