Agenda – Tuesday, November 13th (LIHTC-Specific)

Need CEUs to maintain your tax credit professional designation? Register and attend Day 1 (Tuesday, Nov. 13th) to receive 6.5 hours of tax credit/LIHTC-specific training. From basic/refresher to more advanced topics, this full-day tax credit training will provide you with the knowledge you need to do your job well. Attend additional tax credit sessions on Day 2 (Nov. 14th)…or take some general management sessions. We offer something for everyone!

9:00a.m. – 9:15a.m. Opening/Welcoming Remarks

9:15 -10:45a.m. Refresher or Basic LIHTC Issues –

This session will review the most essential elements for tax credit compliance at the site level, including basic income and asset verification requirements, rent and utility allowance requirements, student issues and physical condition requirements. AJ Johnson, Instructor

11:00.m. – 12:15p.m. LIHTC Program Changes –

New requirements and regulations relating to the tax credit program will be covered, including the new minimum set-aside option – “Average Income.” Program changes up to the ate of the Conference will be discussed. AJ Johnson, Instructor

1:30p.m. – 4:45p.m. Compliance Challenge

This “interactive” session will present participants with various compliance challenges in a “real-time” setting. Attendees will be able to provide electronic answer and receive immediate feedback and recommendations from the course instructor. This will be a fun and fast-moving session that will have participants re-thinking their approach to complex compliance issues. Bring your phone or tablet to fully participate!
